The Show
In JRE 896, Joe brings Young Jamie on to debrief about his trip to CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Jamie had just gotten back from checking out the latest and greatest in consumer electronics, and Joe is genuinely curious about what he actually saw there that was worth talking about.
Jamie walks through some of the standout products and innovations from the show, and they dig into which ones are legitimately cool versus which ones are just companies throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. This is classic JRE stuff where Joe is asking good questions about the actual utility of these devices and whether any of it is actually going to change how people live.
The conversation covers a range of tech categories from smart home stuff to personal gadgets. Joe's always interested in what's real innovation versus what's just marketing bullshit, and Jamie's got fresh perspectives from actually being on the floor at one of the biggest tech events in the world.
What makes this episode work is that it's not just a list of products. Joe and Jamie are actually thinking critically about what matters and what doesn't. They're having the kind of conversation you'd have with a friend who just got back from an interesting trip and is telling you what blew his mind and what was totally pointless.
